Submissions info for DIY Radio:

I can accept your submission on CD or Vinyl, no cassettes.
It's best to send your actual released product rather than a few songs
burnt to a CD. The reason for this is I do talk about the band before or
after playing their songs the first few times I play them. If I have the
actual release I can get info from there. Letters get lost, I have thousands
of CDs and can't keep track of letters that go with them. Also, I get calls
from listeners wanting info about things I have played. With a burnt CD with
just a few songs on it I don't have much info to give the listeners. With the
full CD I have more info to give them and they are more likely to follow through
with either buying your CD or contacting you. And if I have the full CD there
is a better chance I can find something that I can play on the air. The radio
station that DIY Radio airs on is owned by the Akron Public Schools, so I have
to be very careful about what I play over the air, they are much more picky than
the FCC on what and what is not acceptable.
